It was a quiet night when the world passed us by / As we kept shouting loud / We woke the neighbors in a crowd / As the radios lights the room / It gets quiet / As they all stayed stuck in a radio song / The misguided voices have it wrong / As we kept walking / They kept talking / Then they all said / That we’ve lost all control / There’s nothing left / In this situation / That never seems to end / Stuck in a hole we lost all control / We’re left for dead
We are the wasted but we’re not wasting our time
When we woke up it was all over town / Your silent face disturbs the crowd and makes them wonder / What went quite wrong / This was such a tragedy from the beginning / We wonder what we lost
When we woke up / We wondered what went wrong / The world stopped and we kept moving on / In this situation that never seems to end / Stuck as a whole we lost all control and there’s nothing left / When catastrophe is just waiting / Guess who’s laughing now / Guess who’s laughing now / In this wasted world / With its tasteless morals / We won’t give in / We are playing dead
When we woke up it was all over town / Your silent face disturbs the crowd and makes them wonder / What went quite wrong / This was such a tragedy from the beginning / We wonder what we lost
When we woke up / The world was blurred / We had enough
We are the Wasted / We wont give into your Wasted World
Been following Somos for many years, feeling that they had an opus in them...well, here it is. Driving pop-punk sensibilities lend an upbeat tone in contrast to the grim lyrical proceedings, and they absolutely pull it off. Evocative music that's been on repeat for me all month long. RIP, Phil PaintedDogs
