Troy Fryer It doesn't take much to get hooked — grit, melody, and rawness flow in abundance. I love the hybrid scream/singing and how they've managed to harmonise it! (The moderation between screaming and singing is also superbly managed.) It's also amazing how much each guitar part contributes and how much more it is than just basic power chords. Great album to uplift and energise! Favorite track: Same Old State.

Catalyst 03:54
Such a useless cry / When the times define your life / You owe body and soul / What a life we have / In a useless mess a song protests / As they take it all away they say / You’re not alive until your belly’s full / So you stole everything that we needed / This is the first act / We want it all back / The curtain calls / let the puppets say They think they own the world / The world isn’t big enough / We need to have a little more You get what you ask for/ it’s not enough there’s always a little more Remember what we had / They could’ve stopped / They saved an apology / They made up a story / Silently had it all / We just make the best of it / What a life to have / When it’s taken away / Without an exchange / You want more and more / We wont stop until we get it all back / This is the final act / Patience is what we lack / So we play our games / We steal the world We think we have it all / The world is bigger than we see / So have a little more / As the useless cry / We think we own it all / The world is bigger than they need / So have a little more You get what you ask for/ it’s not enough there’s always a little more These seasons change / We’re still playing the same games / We will never change / The world won’t always be this way / I’m not sure of the purpose / These guesses are all questions / That lead to my distractions / So we wait for it all / We know there’s a fall ahead / We’re just guests in the world / We stole the life from it You’ll get what you ask for

It was that perfect daze in that perfect gaze / It was trouble from the start / It nearly broke my heart / I hadn’t spoke two words / Then we sang/We only spoke few words / The words were enough to make my heart skip a beat as I fell apart / Then we only seemed to get out a crooked smile / It’s not good enough / It’s never good enough Then they all said that these words should come so easy / that little number she did that trick to me / They sang words that can’t compare / To the feeling of her heartbeat and that perfect stare I guess this is a feeling of a fall / I guess this is the feeling of it all When we spoke the poet died but the words still showed / that we only need to get out of this town alive / It’s not good enough for the both of us / We’re cursed with a four letter word / We never seem ready / For that perfect storm that comes without warning / Then the tides pass by with another way to try / That perfect song tonight Then they all said that these words should come so easy / that little number she did that trick to me / They sang words that can’t compare / To the feeling of her heartbeat and that perfect stare I guess this is a feeling of a fall / I guess this is the feeling of it all The more and more I try to get you out of my mind /I know you’ll always stay / And even though I try to make you all mine / I know you’ll always walk away / Even though we try / That perfect storm will kill a thousand in its wake

This is the same avenue we’ve always drove through / By the end of the night / We’ll get ready / For the steadiness of another sharp and shifty night / There was something I’ve been meaning to ask you / If it’s alright / When we get back could we just pack and go / This is an uncommon show / I’ll be gone before you know / In this same ole state / Where nothing changes / We remain stuck in a photograph stain We waste our life searching for those big city nights / The avenue’s on fire / We chase the night searching for the big city lights / The avenue’s on fire I need to get out of this town before I drown / I walk away / I heard that home is were the heart is / I’ll miss this place \ I’m packed up / I’m ready/ For the good times / They’re ahead of me right now / I feel like a castaway / A castaway in a public place / Where the guests have no name / This same old state is a missing fear / And as memory remains / The drive will stop at the local common theme / I missed this place / I walked away / But that’s where I’ll always stay We waste our life searching for those big city nights / The avenue’s on fire / We chase the night searching for the big city lights / The avenue’s on fire

Dying Days 03:09
This is our life / We’ve wasted time / We’ve done this right / These weekends with my best friends / Sure enough we’re bound to cross that fine line / At least we’ll try / It’s the last call everyone straight for the line / It’s going to be the best night of our dying life / Let’s act up Ruby / Last shot for the night / This is a bad sign The weak days at a weekend’s end / It pays to act up so let’s do it all again / We know this could be the best night of a dying life / We lose all control before we go back home We’re scared but we’ll be ok / We’ll get through these dying days / And we’ll stay for one more day / Thinking about the good time and those bad times / The best friends and those goodbyes / On our private stage we celebrate / We raise our glasses to the past that’s gone / Raise them higher for the ones moved on / This perfect way to end our day We show up / We act up / We paint all our eyes shut The weak days at a weekend’s end / It pays to act up so let’s do it all again / We know this could be the best night of a dying life / We lose all control before we go back home

Segue 01:10

The strategy never works out / Sometimes we think to far ahead / Everything will work out / Something’s wrong this time / So we sit back we’ll relapse / We’ll do it again / I know that we can’t forgive and forget / I know you do what you can / But it makes no difference You’re headfirst at the starting line, you choke and see it isn’t close We remember the day you came / The guest of honor in a social man’s parade / We remember the day you changed / The stranger showed his face / Six feet down in a makeshift grave A scientific paralysis in a game show that we missed / A forty hour week deserves a drink / A hangover seeks apologies / We will never see / Our histories a strange parody We remember the day you came / The guest of honor in a social man’s parade / We remember the day you changed / The stranger showed his face / Six feet down in a makeshift grave Remember why you changed / You threw your life away /And as you sit in your plague / Just know that we can’t stay We seem to remember the past was best until we can’t carry on The mannequins have spoken / Their silhouettes have stayed quiet tonight / We’ll survive this

Wasted World 04:47
It was a quiet night when the world passed us by / As we kept shouting loud / We woke the neighbors in a crowd / As the radios lights the room / It gets quiet / As they all stayed stuck in a radio song / The misguided voices have it wrong / As we kept walking / They kept talking / Then they all said / That we’ve lost all control / There’s nothing left / In this situation / That never seems to end / Stuck in a hole we lost all control / We’re left for dead We are the wasted but we’re not wasting our time When we woke up it was all over town / Your silent face disturbs the crowd and makes them wonder / What went quite wrong / This was such a tragedy from the beginning / We wonder what we lost When we woke up / We wondered what went wrong / The world stopped and we kept moving on / In this situation that never seems to end / Stuck as a whole we lost all control and there’s nothing left / When catastrophe is just waiting / Guess who’s laughing now / Guess who’s laughing now / In this wasted world / With its tasteless morals / We won’t give in / We are playing dead When we woke up it was all over town / Your silent face disturbs the crowd and makes them wonder / What went quite wrong / This was such a tragedy from the beginning / We wonder what we lost When we woke up / The world was blurred / We had enough We are the Wasted / We wont give into your Wasted World
